I am originally from Italy, where I graduated from University of Turin with a bachelor's and a master's degree in human movement sciences. My career in research started in Switzerland, where I earned my doctorate at ETH Zurich. Before joining Cross Lab, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and at the Italian Institute of Technology. My research interests focus on the neurophysiological mechanisms underpinning the motor control of human locomotion, and I am particularly keen on investigating human electrophysiology during movement tasks. My current research focuses on the electrocortical dynamics during walking with and without external visuo-auditory cues in Parkinson's Disease patients, in relation to freezing of gait. In my free time, I am an avid scuba diver, enthusiastic to be underwater whenever possible.
